Anabel Guerra

SR. PROJECT MANAGER

Anabel Guerra is a Sr. Project Manager at the UTSA Center for Global Development in San Antonio, Texas.  As a Sr. Project Manager, Anabel trains, coordinates, and implements the international expansion of the SBDC model in South America and Africa.

Anabel joined the UTSA SBDC International Trade Center in 2011 and previously served as a Sr. International Business Advisor. During this time, Anabel led the GO TEXAN COVID-19 Recovery and Growth Initiative. A project that helped the Texas Department of Agriculture GO TEXAN companies recover from the pandemic and prepare for future growth. She also managed the center’s advising performance, productivity, and training program as part of the strategic plan implemented by the center to fulfill the organization’s vision.

Prior to joining the UTSA SBDC International Trade Center, she worked at the UTSA Mexico Center as a graduate researcher where she conducted various research projects on U.S. and Mexico business and socio-economic related issues. She holds an M.S. in Sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is a Certified Scrum Master. She is bilingual and bicultural having worked and lived in both Mexico and the United States. Anabel is from Matamoros, Mexico.
