Jaenie Longoria

SR. INTERNATIONAL PROJECT MANAGER

Jaenie Longoria is a Sr. International Project Manager with the UTSA Center for Global Development in San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Longoria is a Business and Economic Professional with over 17 years’ experience working with clients of diverse industries, worldwide. Ms. Longoria is a grant writer with over 15 years’ experience with corporate, city/municipal, state and federal grants. Ms. Longoria is also a speaker at business and economic conferences nationally and internationally.

Ms. Longoria holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance as well as a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA). She earned a post-graduate certificate in Healthcare Administration and Leadership from the UTPA College of Business Administration as well as a Certificate in Technology Commercialization from the University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business. Ms. Longoria also holds a certification in Business Communication (Oral/Written) from UTPA and certifications in business, business valuation, business incubation, online marketing and social media, technology and product commercialization. Ms. Longoria is a Certified Business Valuator accredited by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts® (NACVA®).

Frequently recognized for her exemplary work, Ms. Longoria was awarded the 2012, 2013 and 2016 National Association of Small Business Development Centers “Star Performer Award” for the South-West Texas Border SBDC Network in New Orleans, Louisiana and Orlando, Florida, respectively. Additionally, she has earned the “State Star” award for outstanding performance in 2011, 2012 and 2015 for the region. For high performance and dedication to the UTRGV SBDC, Ms. Longoria has been awarded the “SBDC Advisor of the Year” by the U.S. Small Business Administration Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office for 2012; 2013; 2014; and 2015. She has also received “Certificates of Special Congressional Recognition” in 2011; 2013; 2014; and 2015. Ms. Longoria was presented a “Meritorious Service Award” in 2011 for her work at the UTPA SBDC. Ms. Longoria is also named as a contributing team-member of the UTRGV SBDC when the center was recognized in Washington, D.C. as the 2011 “Small Business Development Center of the Year” by the U.S. Small Business Administration, a highly-regarded national award for any SBDC. More recently, Ms. Longoria was recognized by the Academia Brasileira de Medalhistica Militar in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she received a certificate and the “Merito Civico Militar” medal for her support of Brazilian business investment in the United States. Ms. Longoria is Adjunct Profession for UTRGV teaching The Foundations of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Courses since 2012. Ms. Longoria is a member of important international and national associations.
